IHSG mengalami penurunan 1% selama seminggu ke level 6.139 setelah minggu sebelumnya sudah berada pada level 6.200. Sementara yield dari INDOGB 10 tahun naik 9 basis menjadi 6,38%, seiring dengan naiknya yield dari US Treasury 10 tahun yang sempat mencapai level 1,38%.<\/p>\n

Inflasi bulan Juli di US tercatat 5,4% yoy, sedikit lebih tinggi dari perkiraan konsensus 5,3% dan sama seperti bulan Juni. Sementara inflasi inti tercatat 4,3% yoy, lebih rendah dari bulan sebelumnya di 4,5% dan sama terhadap konsensus.<\/p>\n

Cadangan devisa Indonesia bulan Juli tercatat USD 137,3 milyar, relatif flat seperti bulan sebelumnya di USD 137,1 milyar. Penerapan PPKM level 4 sebulan penuh membuat Indeks Keyakinan Konsumen bulan Juli jatuh ke 80,2 dari posisi 107,4 di bulan Juni. Retail Sales bulan Juni (bukan Juli) yang baru terbit minggu lalu masih tumbuh 2,5% yoy, meski jauh lebih rendah dari bulan Mei di 14,7% yoy karena masih terpengaruh hari raya Idul Fitri.<\/p>\n

US 10yr Treasury yield akhirnya beranjak dari titik terendah pada tahun ini 1,13% pada awal Agustus menjadi 1,3% (Chart 1). Kenaikan tersebut seiring dengan diumumkannya inflasi Juli di 5,4% (vs Juni 5,4%). Inflasi sering dilihat sebagai sentimen negatif terhadap imbal hasil dari obligasi. Namun sejak bulan Mei 2021, ekspektasi investor terhadap kenaikan inflasi yang berkelanjutan mereda seperti terefleksi pada Breakeven Inflation Rate (Chart 2). Beberapa analis telah menurunkan target yield di 2021 ke 1,8% dari sebelumnya 2,0% atas dasar kenaikan harga barang yang kemungkinan mereda. Kami melihat yield di US yang rendah akan menguntungkan obligasi negara lain seperti Indonesia dan juga kelas aset saham secara global.<\/p>\n
