This meeting marks the last FOMC chaired by Jerome Powell before the end of his term in May. However, this FOMC marks\u00c2 <b>a build up in hawkishness,\u00c2 <\/b>shown by three members dissenting against The Fed\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s easing forward guidance.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"x_elementToProof\" role=\"presentation\"><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Although his tenure as fed chair comes to an end.\u00c2 <b>Jerome Powell would remain on the board of The Fed.\u00c2 <\/b>This brings forward fear of continued \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcshadow leadership\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 of Powell that would hinder further easing on the Fed Rate.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"x_elementToProof\" role=\"presentation\"><b data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">US 1Q26 annualized GDP remained robust<\/b>, albeit slightly below expectations at 2% QoQ (Cons: 2.3% QoQ) supported by increasing AI related spending.\u00c2 <b>Prices also pushed up<\/b>\u00c2 with PCE inflation reaching +0.7% MoM (in line) mainly driven by higher energy prices.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"x_elementToProof\" role=\"presentation\"><b data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Indonesia Government introduced further stimulus<\/b>\u00c2 in form of import duty waiver for LPG and plastics. Government also\u00c2 <b>toned down spending<\/b>\u00c2 by exercising flatter spending pattern and refining MBG spending to save up to IDR 50tn\u00c2 annually.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div role=\"presentation\"><b data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">S&amp;P maintained stable outlook for Indonesia\u00c2 <\/b>citing stronger resource revenue and lower tax refund could support fiscal recovery. S&amp;P also maintained forecast growth of 5% with 16800 USD\/IDR and a possible +0.5% BI rate hike.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><u><span data-ogsc=\"black\">Our View<\/span><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<div dir=\"ltr\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\" data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">\n<p class=\"x_elementToProof\"><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Next week we will see broader effect of Iran war to Indonesia with trade balance and CPI data on Monday. Furthermore\u00c2 jobs data from The US would test Fed\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s dual mandate on the employment side during the energy spike caused by war.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">Portfolio wise we are positioned to hedge for geopolitical uncertainty.
